Boneology (quintet/quartet)
Full quintet arrangement of “Boneology” as played by J.J. Johnson.
“Boneology” is a bebop tune by the great jazz trombonist J.J. Johnson. It is featured on the album “J.J. Johnson’s Jazz Quintet”. The piano intro from the original recording is included in the arrangement.
While written for quintet, this arrangement can easily be played as a quartet with only one horn player, as the two horn parts are playing in unison almost all the way through the tune.
Please let me know (tobias@stavngaard.dk) if you wish to acquire the horn parts in other clefs and/or transpositions, as I can easily make them.
